What is seen as a pre-existing condition?

This is anything that your pet has had treatment, medication or advice for in the last 24 months.
Treatment - e.g an operation before the policy started.
Medication -  e.g ongoing medication or recent medication is given before policy has started.
Advice - e.g any information received and noted on your vet records for your pet.
Once a condition has been 24 months free of the above, we class it once again as a 'new' condition and can look to cover it alongside other new conditions in the future.
If your pet's condition hasn't reached 24 moths free of treatment, medication or advice we may still be able to help. Click here to have a look at our Pre-Existing policy for cats and dogs
